Police in Samastipur’s Shivaji Nagar have arrested a daughter‑in‑law and another suspect for allegedly planning a robbery of the mother‑in‑law’s house, providing details of the property and valuables.
Samastipur district police announced the arrest of two individuals in connection with a burglary plot targeting a residence in Shivaji Nagar. The suspects, identified as a daughter‑in‑law and an accomplice, were taken into custody after investigators linked them to a scheme to loot the mother‑in‑law’s house.
According to the police, the daughter‑in‑law allegedly supplied the conspirators with precise information about the layout of the house and the location of valuables, enabling the plan to be executed. The accomplice, who reportedly arrived in disguise, was prepared to carry out the theft once the details were confirmed.
Senior police officials said that the investigation began after the homeowner reported a suspicious approach and the subsequent disappearance of several items. Interrogation of the arrested individuals confirmed their involvement, leading to the filing of a case under sections related to burglary and criminal conspiracy.
The police have forwarded the case to the local magistrate for further legal action and have warned the public that any similar attempts will be pursued aggressively. No injuries were reported, and the stolen items are yet to be recovered.
