Danapur‑SMVT Bengaluru Express to run daily from Sept 1, linking Bihar and Karnataka

Indian Railways announced that the Danapur–SMVT Bengaluru Express will commence daily service from 1 September. The new train will provide a continuous rail connection between Danapur in Bihar and the South Western Railway’s SMVT Bengaluru terminal, facilitating travel for passengers across the two states.

The service is slated to follow an established route that traverses key junctions in the eastern and southern railway zones. While the exact timetable has been released on the railway’s portal, the train is expected to halt at major stations en route, ensuring accessibility for commuters from intermediate towns.

Railway officials highlighted that the daily frequency aims to boost passenger convenience and strengthen economic ties between the northern and southern regions. The introduction of this express service aligns with broader efforts to expand long‑distance connectivity across India.

Travelers can book tickets through the IRCTC platform and will find detailed schedule, fare and stoppage information on the official railway website.
