The chief of T. Waichong village in Manipur said reports that a CRPF convoy carrying the bodies of deceased persons was blocked are false, confirming that the convoy moved without obstruction.

Manipur's T. Waichong village chief publicly dismissed media reports that a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy, tasked with transporting the mortal remains of several individuals, had been stopped en route. He asserted that the convoy proceeded without any hindrance, labeling the earlier claims as fabricated.

The disputed reports had suggested that local authorities or protesters had blocked the convoy, causing delays in the solemn transfer of the bodies. However, the village chief emphasized that no such obstruction occurred and that the CRPF personnel completed their mission as scheduled.

CRPF officials have not issued an official statement on the matter, and local law‑enforcement agencies have not confirmed any incident of blockage. The chief's clarification aims to quell speculation and restore confidence in the security forces' operations in the region.
