Female personnel from the Central Reserve Police Force and Chhattisgarh Police will take part in the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas parade, showcasing women’s role in security forces.
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Chhattisgarh state police have announced that their women personnel will join the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) parade. The inclusion highlights the growing visibility of women in India's paramilitary and police services.
The parade, organized to commemorate the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, will feature a mixed contingent of male and female officers marching in uniform. Officials said the move aims to promote gender equality and inspire more women to consider careers in uniformed services.
Security arrangements for the event are being overseen by both central and state agencies, ensuring a smooth and safe celebration across the state. The participation of women officers underscores the government's emphasis on inclusive representation within the nation's defence and law‑enforcement framework.
