A new wave of COVID-19 cases has emerged in Andhra Pradesh, with two residents of Kadapa dying and five others testing positive for the virus.
Recent reports indicate a resurgence of COVID‑19 in Andhra Pradesh, with the state’s health department confirming two deaths in the city of Kadapa.
The deceased were residents of Kadapa who had been hospitalized for severe respiratory symptoms. In addition, five other individuals from the same district tested positive after presenting with fever and cough.
Health officials have urged the public to adhere to preventive measures, including mask‑wearing, hand hygiene, and social distancing. They also announced a temporary increase in testing capacity at local hospitals to identify and isolate new cases promptly.
Residents are advised to seek medical attention immediately if they develop symptoms and to follow guidelines issued by the state health ministry to curb the spread of the virus.
