A 40‑year‑old consultant manager, Rahul Thakur, was discovered dead in the Tirhut canal near Kharauna village, Muzaffarpur, with blood‑stained car nearby, prompting murder suspicion.
Muzaffarpur district police recovered the body of 40‑year‑old Rahul Thakur, a consultant manager, from the Tirhut canal close to Kharauna village in the Karja police‑station jurisdiction. Thakur, a resident of Kharauna, was identified as the son of a local school teacher.
Investigators noted a parked vehicle near the spot where the body was found, with visible blood stains on its exterior. The presence of the blood‑marked car has led officials to treat the case as a possible homicide rather than an accidental drowning.

No arrests have been made as of now, and the investigation remains ongoing pending further forensic analysis and witness statements.
