In a demonstration for fair elections, Congress activists marched from Ganpati Chowk to Tory Corner in Indore and set fire to a dummy representing the Chief Election Officer.

On Thursday, Congress activists in Indore organized a protest march to demand a transparent electoral process. The march began at Ganpati Chowk and proceeded to Tory Corner, with participants chanting slogans about electoral integrity and democratic safeguards.

During the rally, the activists set fire to a dummy that symbolised the Chief Election Officer, a symbolic act aimed at highlighting perceived shortcomings in the election administration.

The event drew attention from local media and prompted calls for a review of election procedures in the city. While the protest was largely peaceful, the burning of the dummy was seen as a dramatic statement by the party’s supporters.

The Congress party has reiterated its commitment to ensuring free and fair elections across India, citing the Indore protest as a step towards greater accountability.
