A group of Congress legislators staged a sit‑in outside the assembly, leading to a confrontation with police after a ban on school entry was imposed.

Congress legislators gathered outside the state assembly and began a sit‑in to protest a recently announced ban on school entry. The demonstrators set up a temporary encampment, demanding that the restriction be lifted and that the decision be reviewed.

Police units arrived to enforce the ban and to disperse the gathering, resulting in a brief scuffle. Officers used standard crowd‑control measures, while several MLAs resisted, leading to a tense standoff that was eventually broken up without reported injuries.

Congress MLA Dotasara addressed the media, alleging that the ban was influenced by RSS-backed directives and calling the move politically motivated. He urged the government to withdraw the restriction and restore normal school operations.

The assembly administration has not yet issued an official statement on the incident, and the matter is expected to be debated in the upcoming legislative session.
