In Bhopal, a group of Congress legislators met Governor Mangubhai Patel to present a formal memorandum. The delegation was headed by opposition leader Umang Singhar, who represented the party's legislators in the state assembly.
The memorandum seeks immediate action against Minister Vijay Shah, alleging that his recent statement about Colonel Sofia Kuraisi was offensive and violated decorum expected of public officials. The legislators emphasized that such remarks undermine respect for armed forces personnel.
Congress members stressed that accountability is essential and urged the Governor to direct the state government to investigate the comment and take appropriate disciplinary measures against the minister.
