Congress MP Revanth Reddy asserted that his family’s financial standing has been strong since his childhood and that he is wealthier than Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
Senior Congress leader and Lok Sabha member Revanth Reddy publicly claimed that his personal wealth exceeds that of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. The statement was made during a recent interaction with media outlets, where he emphasized his family's long‑standing financial comfort.
He said his family's prosperity dates back to his childhood, implying a stable economic background that has continued into his political career. No independent audit or financial data was presented to substantiate the comparison.
The remark adds a new dimension to the ongoing political rivalry in the state, with both leaders representing opposing parties. Analysts note that such personal wealth claims are often used to shape public perception ahead of upcoming electoral contests.
Revanth Reddy did not provide specific figures, and the claim remains unverified by any official source.
The Congress party has not issued a formal comment on the statement, while the Telangana government has not responded.
