The Congress party has reiterated that its doors remain open for the Goa Forward Party while extending an invitation to all anti-BJP forces to join hands.
The Congress party has signalled that it remains open to an alliance with the Goa Forward Party (GFP), keeping alive the possibility of a broader opposition arrangement in the state. The party stated that its doors are still open for GFP, indicating a willingness to accommodate regional players who share its opposition to the BJP.
Alongside the outreach to GFP, the Congress has invited all anti-BJP forces to come together on a common platform. The move is being seen as an effort to consolidate non-BJP votes and present a united front in the political landscape.
The party's stance underlines its strategy of building a coalition of like-minded outfits rather than going it alone. By keeping channels of communication open, the Congress aims to maximise the opposition's collective strength against the ruling BJP.
