The Congress party in Rajasthan has set up a campaign committee comprising senior figures such as Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot, Dotasra and Juhi to boost its outreach ahead of the upcoming panchayat polls.
Rajasthan's Congress unit announced the formation of a dedicated campaign committee for the forthcoming panchayat elections. The committee includes senior party stalwarts Ashok Gehlot, Sachin Pilot, Dotasra and Juhi, reflecting the leadership's intent to mobilise grassroots support.
The party plans to intensify its village‑level outreach, deploying senior leaders to interact directly with local voters and address regional issues. This move comes after the party's recent setbacks in the state’s local body elections, prompting a strategic recalibration.
Congress officials said the committee will coordinate campaign activities, oversee candidate selection and ensure a cohesive messaging strategy across the state's rural constituencies.
The panchayat polls, scheduled later this year, are seen as a litmus test for the party's revival in Rajasthan ahead of the next assembly elections.
