Congress Criticises Modi’s ‘Forgive Youth’ Comment, Accuses Him of Playing Victim

The Indian National Congress slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent statement about forgiving young people, accusing him of adopting a victim narrative.

During a press briefing on March 15, PM Modi said that young people should be forgiven for mistakes made in their early years.

The Congress party’s spokesperson, Ramesh Kumar, immediately condemned the remark, calling it a “victim card” tactic that diverts attention from policy failures.

Kumar added that while the government should support youth, it must also hold them accountable for unlawful actions.

The criticism comes as the opposition seeks to challenge Modi’s narrative ahead of the upcoming elections, emphasizing the need for transparency and responsibility.
