MP Mohan Yadav claimed that the Congress party deliberately refrained from lauding pilot Machchhar to avoid alienating minority voters.
Member of Parliament Mohan Yadav asserted that the Congress party chose not to publicly commend pilot Machchhar, fearing it could jeopardise its support among minority communities.
Yadav made the observation in a recent statement, suggesting that electoral calculations outweighed the desire to acknowledge the pilot's recent achievements.
The remark underscores the delicate balance political parties often maintain between celebrating individual accomplishments and safeguarding vote‑bank sensitivities.
As of now, Congress has not issued an official response to Yadav's allegation, leaving the matter open to further political debate.
