During a visit to Omkareshwar, the Indore commissioner inspected crowd‑control measures and facilities at the Mamleshwar and Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga temples, directing officials to further improve arrangements for the upcoming Singhsth‑2028 pilgrimage.
The state government is accelerating preparations for Singhsth-2028, a major pilgrimage scheduled at the Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga, one of Hinduism's twelve sacred shrines. Authorities have been upgrading infrastructure, security and pilgrim amenities to handle the expected surge of devotees.
During a recent inspection, the Indore commissioner visited both the Mamleshwar and Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga temples. He examined crowd‑control arrangements, sanitation facilities, medical aid points and signage, assessing whether they meet the standards required for a large‑scale religious event.
After the review, the commissioner instructed temple officials and local administrators to tighten crowd‑management protocols, improve lighting and water supply, and ensure rapid response teams are on standby. The directives aim to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the thousands of pilgrims expected during Singhsth-2028.
