The government-owned football ground in Colva, Goa, has long been the home of the state’s pioneering football club. Recently, the facility has shown signs of severe neglect, with cracked turf, broken bleachers, and overgrown vegetation.

Local footballers report that the lack of maintenance has made the pitch unsafe for training and matches. The deteriorating condition has also deterred youth participation in the sport.
