North‑west winds have brought chilly conditions to Mount Abu and Fatehpur, while most of Rajasthan records daytime highs above 15°C, with some places exceeding 37°C.
A clear sky dominated Rajasthan today as north‑west breezes intensified across the state. The wind pattern has pushed daytime temperatures above 15°C in most districts, with several urban centres reporting highs that crossed the 37°C mark.
In the hill station of Mount Abu, the same winds have produced a markedly cooler spell. The minimum temperature dipped to 12°C, making it the coldest location in the state at present. Nearby Fatehpur experienced similar chilly conditions, contrasting sharply with the heat elsewhere.
Meteorologists note that the divergent temperature profile is typical for this time of year, when dry north‑west winds bring both heat to the plains and relief to higher elevations. Residents are advised to stay hydrated in the hotter zones while dressing warmly in the cooler hill areas.
