India’s left‑arm pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has been recalled, and head coach R Sridhar says his presence will be invaluable for the forthcoming tour.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has rejoined the Indian cricket squad ahead of the next overseas tour, marking his return after a period away from international duty. The left‑arm swing bowler, renowned for his accuracy in the death overs, is expected to bolster the pace attack.
Head coach R Sridhar praised the decision, stating that having Bhuvi on the tour will be “invaluable” for the team’s balance and depth. Sridhar highlighted Kumar’s experience in varied conditions and his ability to swing the ball both with the new and old ball.
The inclusion comes as India prepares to face strong opposition abroad, where a versatile bowler can make a decisive difference. Kumar’s comeback is seen as a boost to the squad’s morale and a strategic move to strengthen the bowling unit for the challenges ahead.
