Chief Minister Rekha Gupta met investors in Delhi to review the draft Startup and Incubation Policy for 2026, outlining incentives and support mechanisms for emerging ventures.

Delhi, September 6 (Amar Ujala) – Chief Minister Rekha Gupta convened a focused meeting with a group of venture capitalists and angel investors to examine the draft Delhi Startup and Incubation Policy 2026. The session, held at the Chief Minister's office, aimed to gather feedback on proposed tax rebates, seed funding grants, and dedicated incubation hubs across the capital.

The policy draft envisions a streamlined registration process for startups, enhanced access to government procurement, and a network of sector‑specific incubators to nurture technology‑driven enterprises. Investors were briefed on the expected timeline for implementation and invited to suggest refinements that could improve the ease of doing business for early‑stage firms.

While no final figures were disclosed, officials indicated that the policy will allocate a dedicated fund to support proof‑of‑concept projects and will create mentorship programmes in partnership with established industry players. The meeting concluded with a consensus to forward the consolidated recommendations to the Delhi government’s finance department for incorporation into the final policy document.

The initiative reflects Delhi’s broader effort to position itself as a leading hub for innovation and entrepreneurship in India, complementing similar schemes launched by other state governments.
