Madhya Pradesh's chief minister announced a series of division- and district-level dialogues aimed at linking young people with modern farming practices and agribusiness opportunities.

Bhopal, Aug 24 — Chief Minister Mohan Yadav unveiled a statewide plan to bring youth closer to contemporary agriculture and related enterprises. The initiative will roll out a series of "Agricultural Innovation Dialogues" at both division and district levels, providing a platform for young aspirants to interact with experts, entrepreneurs and government officials.

The dialogues are designed to showcase modern farming techniques, digital tools, and viable business models that can make agriculture a lucrative career for the next generation. Organisers will also discuss access to credit, training schemes and market linkages to help participants translate knowledge into income.

State officials indicated that the program will be phased, starting with pilot sessions in selected districts before expanding to all divisions. The CM emphasized that empowering youth in agriculture is critical to boosting the state's productivity and creating sustainable employment.

The rollout comes as Madhya Pradesh seeks to diversify its agrarian base and curb rural unemployment. Stakeholders are expected to present case studies, demo new technologies and outline policy support during the dialogues.

The government will monitor the impact through periodic reviews, aiming to scale successful models across the state and attract private investment into the agricultural sector.
