Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited Maher, offered prayers at the Mata Sharda shrine and handed over the 39th payment of the Ladli Bahno scheme to beneficiaries.
The chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Mohan Yadav, arrived in the town of Maher for a short visit that included a darshan at the Mata Sharda temple. The ritual was conducted as a prelude to a welfare distribution event scheduled before the upcoming Raksha Bandhan festival.
Following the prayer ceremony, the CM announced the release of the 39th installment of the Ladli Bahno programme, a state‑run financial assistance scheme aimed at supporting the education and health of girl children. The payment was handed directly to the attending beneficiaries, who are part of the scheme’s ongoing rollout across the state.
State officials said the distribution underscores the government’s commitment to girl‑child empowerment and complements other welfare measures announced ahead of the festive season. Local media reported that the event was attended by families, district officials and party cadres.
The Ladli Bahno scheme, launched by the Madhya Pradesh government, provides periodic cash grants to girls from economically weaker sections, with the objective of reducing dropout rates and improving health outcomes.
The ceremony concluded with brief remarks from the CM, who urged families to continue prioritising education and health for their daughters.
