Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav officiated a free registration campaign for rural houses on Dhanteras, choosing Karua village in Muraina as the launch site. The ceremony highlighted the government's commitment to simplify property ownership for villagers and to reduce bureaucratic hurdles.
The scheme offers cost‑free registration of residential properties to eligible households in the district. Officials said the initiative will help families obtain clear title documents, which are essential for accessing credit and government benefits.
State authorities have set an ambitious target of registering five million properties across Madhya Pradesh this year. The free‑registration drive in Muraina is the first step toward achieving that goal, with plans to replicate the model in other rural areas.
Local residents expressed optimism, noting that the initiative could strengthen land security and improve financial inclusion. The administration will monitor the rollout and provide necessary support to ensure smooth processing of applications.
The event underscores the broader push by the state government to modernise land records and promote transparent governance in the agricultural heartland.
