Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis took the stage together with senior members of the Thackeray family during a public event in Maharashtra. The gathering, which drew media attention, saw the two political camps sharing the platform without any visible tension.
Addressing the audience, Fadnavis remarked that political bonhomie has been a hallmark of Maharashtra’s democratic culture, emphasizing cooperation over confrontation. He highlighted past instances where rival parties have worked together for the state’s development.
The Thackerays, representing the Shiv Sena, responded positively, acknowledging the spirit of mutual respect. Observers noted that such gestures aim to project stability ahead of upcoming electoral contests.
Analysts suggest that the display of unity may be a strategic move to temper political rivalries as the state approaches key elections later this year.
