Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami officially opened stalls for self‑help groups under the Sashakt Behna Utsav Yojana in Dehradun, aiming to boost women’s entrepreneurship.

Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami arrived at the venue in Dehradun on Thursday to inaugurate a series of stalls set up for self‑help groups under the state’s Sashakt Behna Utsav Yojana. The ceremony was attended by local officials, representatives of women’s collectives and members of the public who gathered to witness the launch.
The Sashakt Behna Utsav scheme, launched earlier this year, seeks to empower women by providing them a platform to showcase and sell products crafted by self‑help groups. It also aims to facilitate market linkages, skill development and financial assistance for women entrepreneurs across Uttarakhand.
During the inauguration, Dhami highlighted the importance of grassroots entrepreneurship in driving inclusive growth. He urged the participating groups to leverage the exposure offered by the stalls to expand their customer base and improve livelihoods.
The newly opened stalls feature a variety of handmade items, ranging from traditional textiles and handicrafts to organic food products, reflecting the diverse skills of women’s collectives in the region.
