Cloth merchant robbery foiled in Amritsar, four suspects arrested after leg injury

Amritsar police reported that a group of men attempted to rob a cloth merchant in the city’s commercial area. The assailants fled when the shopkeeper raised an alarm, and during the chase an officer fired, striking one suspect in the leg. The injured suspect was taken to a hospital for treatment while the remaining three fled on foot.

Within hours, police located and detained all four individuals near the original crime scene. The suspects are now in police custody and are being questioned about the robbery attempt. No merchandise was reported stolen, and the merchant sustained no injuries.
