During a recent visit to government schools, CJP member Abhijeet Dipke observed students sweeping their own classrooms and highlighted missing cleaning staff, poor drinking‑water facilities and a broken filter.
Abhijeet Dipke, a senior figure of the Confederation of Joint Parents (CJP), toured several government schools and found that pupils were left to mop and sweep their own classrooms in the absence of dedicated cleaning staff. He questioned why children were performing tasks that should be handled by hired personnel, pointing to a lapse in basic school management.
The visit also revealed that the schools lacked a reliable source of clean drinking water; a water filter installed on the premises was reported broken, forcing students to rely on unsafe alternatives. Dipke emphasized that such infrastructural gaps compromise health and learning conditions.
Students approached Dipke with requests for essential supplies, including notebooks, pens and shoes. He assured them that these items would be provided promptly. Local villagers, who have already contributed funds for school improvements, were urged by Dipke to continue supporting the institutions while pressing the government to fulfill its responsibilities and prevent recurrence of such neglect.
