The Congress Parliamentary Party is set to launch a fresh protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi after a wave of detentions, signalling renewed political agitation.
The Congress Parliamentary Party (CJP) is gearing up for a new protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, following a series of mass detentions of party workers earlier this week.
According to reports, several CJP members were detained by authorities during a routine check at a political rally, sparking criticism from the party leadership.
The planned demonstration aims to highlight the party’s grievances over the detentions and to demand the release of the arrested members.
CJP officials have announced that the protest will take place on the evening of Thursday, with a march from the Parliament House to Jantar Mantar.
Lawmakers and activists expect a sizable turnout, with the party calling on supporters to remain peaceful and to avoid clashes with security forces.
