The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) launched its summit today at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, with film star and political leader Pawan Kalyan slated to address the gathering.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) opened its annual summit on the campus of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. The event, attended by industry leaders, academicians and government officials, aims to foster dialogue on emerging business opportunities and challenges in the region.
Among the keynote speakers, actor‑politician Pawan Kalyan has been scheduled to address the audience. Kalyan, who heads the Jana Sena Party, is expected to share his views on entrepreneurship, youth employment and the role of private sector in regional development.
Organisers said the summit will feature panel discussions on sectors such as manufacturing, information technology and renewable energy, with a focus on leveraging Andhra Pradesh's infrastructure and talent pool. The programme also includes networking sessions for startups and established firms.
CII officials highlighted that the Kakinada summit reflects the organization’s intent to engage with educational institutions and local economies, positioning the state as a hub for future industrial growth.
The seminar is set to conclude later today, after which participants will convene for a closing ceremony and a brief press briefing.
