Chief Secretary Addresses Pensioners' Grievances in Jaipur, Issues 13 PPOs on Spot

In Jaipur, the Chief Secretary presided over a pensioners' grievance session, granting provisional pension orders to 13 applicants and clearing 356 of 486 pending cases.
The Chief Secretary of Rajasthan convened a special hearing at the pension court in Jaipur to address longstanding complaints from retired government employees. During the session, thirteen pensioners received provisional pension orders (PPO) on the spot, allowing them to receive interim benefits while their final applications are processed.
Out of a backlog of 486 pending pension cases, officials resolved 356 cases, significantly reducing the queue and providing relief to many retirees who have been waiting for months. The rapid clearance was highlighted as a step toward improving the efficiency of the state pension department.
In addition to the immediate payouts, the Chief Secretary directed senior officials to establish separate OPD counters for pensioners in major hospitals across the state, aiming to streamline medical access for senior citizens.
The measures were welcomed by pensioners' associations, who described the session as a constructive move toward addressing systemic delays in pension disbursement.
State authorities have pledged to continue monitoring the pending docket to ensure timely resolution of the remaining cases.
