Chief Minister Mohan flies from Delhi to Rewa as floods wreak havoc in Madhya Pradesh districts

Severe flooding in several districts of Madhya Pradesh prompted Chief Minister Mohan to travel directly from Delhi to Rewa for on‑site assessment and relief coordination.
Heavy rains have caused widespread flooding across multiple districts of Madhya Pradesh, submerging roads, agricultural fields and residential areas. Local authorities reported rising water levels that forced evacuations and disrupted essential services.
In response, Chief Minister Mohan left Delhi and arrived in Rewa, a district severely affected by the deluge. The CM met with district officials, disaster response teams and affected residents to assess damage and prioritize relief measures.
The state government has mobilised rescue squads, deployed relief material and activated emergency shelters. Officials warned that the situation could worsen if the monsoon continues, urging citizens to follow safety advisories.
State disaster management officials are coordinating with the National Disaster Response Force to expedite rescue operations and restore connectivity in the hardest‑hit areas.
