The Chief Justice of India, accompanied by four Supreme Court judges and the Chief Justice of Jammu & Kashmir, reached Leh today for an official visit.

New Delhi – The Chief Justice of India (CJI) arrived in Leh today along with four judges of the Supreme Court and the Chief Justice of the Jammu & Kashmir High Court. The delegation is expected to spend the day in the capital of Ladakh Union Territory, meeting local officials and reviewing judicial matters pertinent to the region. Their presence underscores the Supreme Court’s focus on the administration of justice in the remote Himalayan area. No detailed agenda has been released, but the visit is part of routine judicial outreach. The officials are scheduled to depart after completing their engagements in Leh.

The visit comes at a time when the judiciary is emphasizing accessibility and oversight in all parts of the country, including Union Territories. Local authorities have welcomed the high‑court dignitaries, citing the importance of direct interaction with the apex court’s leadership.

Further updates will be provided as the schedule unfolds.
