The Chief Justice has demanded the suspension of ADCP Sandeep Lamba following accusations that he assaulted protesters and grabbed the hair of activist Geetanjali Wangchuk.
The Chief Justice has formally requested the suspension of Assistant District and Circle Police (ADCP) officer Sandeep Lamba after reports surfaced of an assault on protesters.
According to the complaint, Lamba allegedly attacked demonstrators and forcibly grabbed the hair of activist Geetanjali Wangchuk during a recent protest.
In a statement, the Chief Justice expressed concern over the officer’s conduct and urged the police department to take immediate disciplinary action.
The police department has not yet released a response to the allegations, and it remains unclear whether an investigation will be launched.
