The Chhattisgarh government has entered into two agreements under the PM GatiShakti scheme to strengthen geospatial data usage and logistics coordination across the state.

State officials in Chhattisgarh formalised two new pacts under the Prime Minister's GatiShakti initiative, aiming to integrate advanced geospatial technologies with the state's logistics network. The agreements were signed in a ceremony attended by senior representatives of the central infrastructure ministry and the state planning department.

The first pact focuses on building a comprehensive geospatial data platform that will map roads, rail links, waterways and industrial zones in real time. By leveraging satellite imagery and GIS tools, the state intends to improve route optimisation, disaster response and land‑use planning.

The second agreement centres on streamlining logistics operations, linking freight corridors with existing multimodal hubs and enhancing last‑mile connectivity for manufacturers and agricultural producers. Coordination with the national GatiShakti framework is expected to reduce transit times and lower transportation costs.

Officials anticipate that the combined impact of the two pacts will accelerate infrastructure projects, attract investment and create a more resilient supply chain within the next two years. The state will monitor progress through a joint steering committee that reports to both the central and state ministries.

While detailed implementation schedules are still being finalised, the initiative marks a significant step for Chhattisgarh in aligning its development plans with the broader national push for smart, data‑driven infrastructure.
