The Chhattisgarh government transferred Rs 632.40 crore to the bank accounts of 67.38 lakh women under the 32nd instalment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, announced by Chief Minister Sai.

Chief Minister Sai of Chhattisgarh announced the disbursement of the 32nd instalment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, directing a transfer of Rs 632.40 crore to the bank accounts of 67.38 lakh women across the state. The payment is part of the scheme’s ongoing effort to provide financial support to mothers, particularly those from economically weaker sections.

The funds were transferred directly to beneficiaries' accounts, ensuring prompt access to the cash assistance. State officials said the transaction was completed through the state's electronic payment system, minimizing delays and errors.

The Mahtari Vandan Yojana, launched in 2018, aims to empower women by offering regular cash benefits tied to motherhood milestones. With this latest instalment, the cumulative outlay of the scheme has crossed several thousand crore rupees, reflecting the government's commitment to social welfare.

Women’s groups welcomed the move, noting that timely payouts are crucial for household expenses and child care. The administration has urged beneficiaries to verify their account details to avoid any hiccups in future disbursements.

The government plans to continue the scheme’s regular instalments throughout the fiscal year, targeting further inclusion of eligible mothers in remote and tribal areas of Chhattisgarh.
