The Chhattisgarh government has approved 45 mineral exploration projects, of which 35 focus on critical and strategic minerals, aiming to boost the state's resource base.
The state government of Chhattisgarh has given the green light to 45 new mineral exploration initiatives, according to a statement released by the mining department. Out of these, 35 projects are earmarked for the extraction of critical and strategic minerals that are essential for advanced technologies and defence applications.
These targeted minerals include rare earth elements, lithium, and other resources identified in the national strategic minerals policy. By concentrating on such commodities, the state aims to align with India's broader push for self‑reliance in high‑tech sectors.
State officials expect the approved projects to attract investment, generate employment and contribute to the regional economy over the next few years. Detailed project proposals are now moving to the implementation stage under the supervision of the Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation.
