The Indian government, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has pledged comprehensive support to residents of Arunachal Pradesh affected by recent floods, with Home Minister Rajnath Singh also affirming the Centre’s commitment.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation, affirming that the Centre will stand firmly beside the people of Arunachal Pradesh who are grappling with the aftermath of severe flooding. In a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office, Modi pledged that all necessary resources and assistance would be mobilised to aid recovery and rehabilitation.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh echoed the Prime Minister’s commitment, stating that the central government would provide immediate relief supplies, infrastructure support, and long‑term development measures to restore normalcy in the affected districts.

The government’s assurance comes as the state reports widespread displacement and damage to crops and homes. Both leaders emphasized that the Centre’s response would be swift and coordinated with state authorities to address urgent needs and to prevent further loss of life.
