The Union government has approved a fund of ₹185.75 crore to broaden AYUSH services across Andhra Pradesh, aiming to boost traditional health care infrastructure in the state.

New Delhi has sanctioned a central allocation of ₹185.75 crore for the state of Andhra Pradesh to expand its AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy) network. The funding is intended to strengthen existing AYUSH facilities and set up additional centres, thereby widening access to traditional medical systems for the state's population.

The approval reflects the government's continued emphasis on integrating AYUSH into mainstream health services, a priority highlighted in recent national health policies. State officials are expected to formulate implementation plans that align with the central guidelines, ensuring the money is directed toward infrastructure, manpower and outreach programmes.

While the exact deployment schedule has not been disclosed, the allocation underscores the central government's commitment to promote indigenous health practices and improve rural health outcomes through AYUSH interventions.
