The Union Government has released a total of ₹1,476 crore to Arunachal Pradesh to finance various development initiatives across the state.

New Delhi announced today that the central government will transfer ₹1,476 crore to the state of Arunachal Pradesh for development purposes. The fund is expected to be channelled through existing state schemes and new projects aimed at boosting infrastructure, health, education and other priority sectors.

State officials said the allocation will be released in phases, with the first tranche arriving within the next few weeks. The finance ministry confirmed that the money is part of the Union's ongoing commitment to accelerate growth in the North‑East region.

The release comes as Arunachal Pradesh seeks to improve connectivity and public services, aligning with the broader national agenda of balanced regional development. Local leaders have welcomed the infusion, calling it a timely boost for the state's economic plans.
