A National Health Authority team visited Agartala Civil Hospital to assess the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, focusing on service delivery and compliance with national standards.
The National Health Authority (NHA) dispatched a team to Agartala Civil Hospital in Tripura to evaluate the rollout of the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme, which was launched nationwide in 2018 to provide free medical care to over 100 million families.
During the visit, the NHA officials met with hospital administrators, reviewed patient records and observed the flow of beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. They assessed whether the hospital’s services, such as diagnostics, surgeries and post‑operative care, were being offered in line with the scheme’s guidelines.
The review is part of the central government’s ongoing monitoring of Ayushman Bharat implementation across states. Findings will be compiled into a report that will guide any necessary adjustments to ensure beneficiaries in Tripura receive the full benefits promised by the scheme.
