The Railway Ministry has announced the release of the grant and confirmed that a joint survey of the proposed corridors is now underway, speeding up the preparatory work required for detailed project reports.
If approved, the corridors are expected to reduce travel time significantly between the three metros, promote economic activity and support the broader infrastructure development agenda outlined in the budget.
