The Central Bureau of Investigation said it will soon file the final chargesheet in the NEET paper leak case, stating that no National Testing Agency or government official has been identified as a suspect.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has announced that it will file a final chargesheet in the ongoing investigation into the alleged leak of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) question paper. The agency said the document will be submitted to the court shortly, marking the culmination of a months‑long probe that began after the leak was first reported.
According to the CBI statement, the forthcoming chargesheet does not name any official from the National Testing Agency (NTA) or any other government department as a suspect. The agency emphasized that the investigation has focused on individuals and networks outside the official testing apparatus, and that no evidence has linked an NTA employee to the breach.
The CBI’s move comes amid heightened scrutiny of the NEET examination process, which determines admission to medical colleges across India. Authorities have pledged to strengthen security measures for future exams, while the final chargesheet will detail the charges against the accused and the evidence collected during the inquiry.
