The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has apprehended the manager of Punjab National Bank in Agra in connection with a bribery case involving loan processing.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken into custody the manager of Punjab National Bank located in Agra. The arrest is linked to allegations of demanding illegal gratification for processing loan applications.

Sources indicate that the bank manager reportedly sought a bribe of Rs 7,000 for each loan file. This demand was allegedly made for the processing and clearance of approximately 19 loan files related to solar panel installations.

The CBI's action follows an investigation into the alleged corruption within the loan sanctioning process at the Agra branch.
