Amritsar – Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials discovered a counterfeit currency operation at the agency’s cash counter in Amritsar, confiscating notes amounting to ₹50,000.
The fraud was detected when the cash counter staff identified irregularities in the deposited notes and alerted senior officers, who then verified the notes as fake.
