The CBI has arrested three postal employees in Katni for securing their posts with forged 10th‑grade mark sheets, and has dismissed them from service.
The CBI detained three staff members of the rural post office in Katni, Madhya Pradesh, after investigations revealed they had used counterfeit 10th‑grade mark sheets to qualify for the recruitment exam.
The three employees, appointed as rural postmen, are now in custody and have been terminated from their positions pending further legal proceedings.
This operation is part of a wider crackdown; so far the agency has taken action against eight individuals involved in the same scheme of falsifying academic records for postal jobs.
Authorities said the fake documents were submitted during the 2022‑23 recruitment drive, and the investigation will continue to identify any additional conspirators.
