The Central Bureau of Investigation has detained two additional suspects in the Chandranath Rath murder investigation and has placed the involved brothers in a seven‑day custody period.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested two more individuals linked to the murder of Chandranath Rath on Thursday, expanding the list of suspects in the case.
Following the arrests, the CBI transferred the brothers implicated in the incident to a 7‑day custody facility for further interrogation and evidence collection.
The murder, which occurred in a residential area, has prompted a multi‑agency investigation. Earlier, the CBI had detained a third suspect and was probing alleged motives and financial links.
Law enforcement officials said the investigation is ongoing and that additional arrests could be made as new evidence emerges. The case remains under close scrutiny by both the CBI and local police.
