CAQM Team Visits Punjab Villages as Farmers Highlight Challenges in Stubble Management

The Central Pollution Control Board (CAQM) team visited villages across Punjab to assess the ongoing stubble burning problem. Farmers in the region reported significant challenges in using crop residue management machinery, citing cost, availability, and technical issues. Stubble burning continues to contribute to severe air pollution, especially during the post-harvest season. The CAQM delegation plans to work with local authorities and agricultural agencies to promote affordable and accessible stubble management solutions.
