The Comptroller and Auditor General of India has flagged deficiencies in the state’s electronic procurement, e-way bill and GST mechanisms. The observation was conveyed through a release by A2Z Taxcorp LLP.

The CAG’s report highlights shortcomings in the digital infrastructure used for government purchases, movement of goods and tax collection in Himachal Pradesh.

According to the information shared by A2Z Taxcorp LLP, the audit body pointed out specific areas where the e-procurement portal, e-way bill system and GST compliance mechanisms are not functioning as intended.

The flagged gaps suggest a need for corrective measures to strengthen accountability and operational efficiency, although the report did not elaborate on the exact nature of the issues.
