Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Sudhakar Singh has been named a member of the Lok Sabha’s Standing Committee on Commerce, a move praised by party workers.
Sudhakar Singh, the Rashtriya Janata Dal representative from Buxar in Bihar, has been appointed to the Lok Sabha’s Standing Committee on Commerce. The decision was announced by the parliamentary secretariat, adding a new responsibility to the MP’s portfolio.
The Commerce Standing Committee examines policies, bills and issues related to trade, industry and export‑import matters. Membership provides Singh an opportunity to influence national commercial legislation and to raise concerns pertinent to Bihar’s business community.
Party cadres in Buxar and across the state quickly extended congratulations, noting that his presence on the committee could help spotlight regional trade challenges and attract greater attention to local commercial interests.
The appointment underscores the ruling coalition’s effort to involve regional leaders in key policy‑making bodies, aiming for a broader representation of state‑level concerns at the national level.
