Bus carrying 50 Maharashtra students hangs over gorge in Khargone after brake failure

A bus with more than 50 Maharashtra students broke its railing and dangled over a gorge at Jamghat, Khargone, after brakes failed; villagers rescued everyone safely with no injuries.
A passenger bus loaded with over 50 students from Maharashtra suffered a brake failure while navigating the Jamghat stretch near Khargone in Madhya Pradesh. The loss of braking power caused the vehicle to lose control, break through the roadside railing and come to rest suspended over a deep gorge.
Local residents quickly responded, using an emergency gate to reach the stranded bus. Working together, they managed to pull each student out of the vehicle and lower them to safety without the need for external rescue teams.
The incident concluded without any reported injuries. Authorities have been notified, and an investigation into the bus’s mechanical condition is underway to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
