The district administration deployed a bulldozer to demolish unauthorised dhabas and structures occupying government land throughout Sagar district, including the city of Sagar.
The Sagar district administration sent a bulldozer to raze a series of illegal dhabas and makeshift structures that had been set up on government-owned plots across the district. Teams worked from early morning, targeting sites in both rural areas and the municipal limits of Sagar city.
Officials said the encroachments violated land‑use regulations and had been operating without any legal permission. Prior notices were issued to the owners, but many ignored the warnings, prompting the demolition drive.
The operation is part of a broader effort by the state government to reclaim public land for planned development and to curb unregulated commercial activity. District officials assured residents that regular monitoring will continue to prevent future illegal occupations.
